About Dr. Cihangir Akgün

Dr. Cihangir Akgün is a highly respected pediatric nephrologist with extensive clinical and academic experience. After completing his primary and secondary education in Diyarbakır, he earned his medical degree from the Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1998. He subsequently pursued his specialization in Pediatrics, followed by advanced training in Pediatric Nephrology, at Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Akgün achieved the title of Associate Professor in 2012 and was promoted to full Professorship in 2018, reflecting his significant contributions to pediatric renal medicine. He continues to advance his expertise as a clinician at Istanbul Medipol Hospital and serves concurrently as the Deputy Medical Director at Medipol University, where he remains actively engaged in medical education and clinical leadership.
