Dr. Akin Akakin

Dr. Akin Akakin is a distinguished neurosurgeon with more than 24 years of clinical and academic experience in the field of Brain and Nerve Surgery. He completed his medical education at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine and obtained his specialization in Brain and Nerve Surgery in 2008. His academic excellence was recognized early in his career when he received the prestigious Brain Research Award from the Turkish Brain Research Society in 2006.

Throughout his professional journey, Dr. Akin Akakin has earned several notable international distinctions, including the Synthes Neurosurgery Fellow Award at the University of Florida (2010), the SSCD Association Award for the Best 15 Papers (2010), and the Academia Euroasia Neurochirurgica Academy Award in Mumbai, India (2011). He further advanced his expertise by completing a highly specialized Fellowship in Brain and Nerve Surgery Neuroanatomy at the University of Florida in 2009. Dr. Akakin is an active member of the Turkish Neurosurgery Society and has developed extensive sub-specialization in brain and spine surgery over the past decade. He also provides tele-consultation services for both local and international patients, contributing to global access in neurosurgical care.
