Prof. Dr. Dursun Aras – Cardiologist

 

Prof. Dr. Dursun Aras completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1996. He pursued his specialization in cardiology at Ankara High Specialization Training and Research Hospital, becoming a Cardiology Specialist in 2001, and subsequently continued his clinical and academic work at the same institution.

He achieved the title of Associate Professor in 2006 and was promoted to Full Professor in 2012, reflecting his significant contributions to the field of cardiology.

In 2005, he broadened his expertise in cardiac electrophysiology by serving as an observer in Arrhythmia and Ablation at Maastricht University, Netherlands, one of Europe’s leading centers for arrhythmia management.

Between 2016 and 2018, Prof. Dr. Aras served as the Chairman of the Arrhythmia Working Group of the Turkish Society of Cardiology, where he contributed to national clinical guidelines, scientific collaboration, and training initiatives.
